ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Working for Kate Somerville for 3 and a half years was the most amazing step to the beginning of my career. I worked with multiple teams within the company to accomplish projects. I designed packaging, worked with the pre-press team and went on press checks. I designed multiple co-branding materials with QVC, Nordstrom, Sephora, Neiman Marcus and other brands. Events were huge so we had a lot of event material and booth designs to create, along with event and training materials as well.
Creating display cases and visuals for in-store promotions, quarterly every year along with new promo launches for all of our vendors.
Packaging
Designing and doing press checks for packaging was a regular duty of mine while working for Kate Somerville, these are some examples of different kits I created. The Clinic Solutions Kit was a design I had come up with utilizing the foil packaging and creating a gradation for the front of the kit. The Going for Gold Kit was for an annual event that we participated in for Neiman Marcus, and the 3 Steps to Flawless Kit was created for a special promotion at Sephora.
Holiday Digital Assets
Above are some email assets for the Holiday Season I created for Kate Somerville for their email list and for our 3rd party vendors. Below are a series of digital banners I designed for the Kate Somerville website along with Sephora, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus websites.
Illustrations
Working with the product development team I illustrated how some of our products worked. These illustrations were used on the Kate Somerville website along with all 3rd party vendors websites. The illustrations were also used at press release events and whenever Kate was selling the products on QVC.
QVC Clarisonic Promotion
Kate Somerville was doing a special value promotion with Clarisonic on QVC and I created this multi-branded card that was sent out to QVC customers to promote the special event.
Visual Merchandising
I designed and worked with the marketing department to create multiple visual merchandising for our 3rd party vendors, some of which was for our international partners as well including Hong Kong, South Korea and Australia.
Photoshopping & Retouching
I worked on multiple projects that need photoshopping or retouching. Most projects were make comp photos of new products or combining images to make compelling ingredient images. The image below was my largest photoshop image project where I needed to update the photo of the Kate Somerville Clinic on Melrose Place with the new updates to the interior design along with creating a clean photo for promotional and marketing materials.
Hollywood Secret Box Pamphlet
Multiple projects involved pamphlets with information on them that informed customers of the benefits and how to use the products. This is an example of one of the folded pamphlets.
KATE SOMERVILLE WEBSITE
I worked with the web team to create the front end design of the new Kate Somerville website, this project also included creating the UltimateKate Rewards for customers to use on the website. I created the look and feel of the rewards program and illustrated the icons used for it as well.
