ABOUT THIS PROJECT
I was working with Shakey’s Pizza for over 4 years as their Art Director through Big Imagination Group. I updated their branding, designs, packaging and photography while working with them I also art directed commercials and photoshoots. I worked directly with the Shakeys VP of Marketing and Director of Social Media on a weekly basis and worked with the CEO about bi-monthly.
Shakey’s Promotional Counter Cards
For the first couple of years I rebranded Shakey’s with a black background so that the pizzas would pop off of the background. Keeping their classic colors of white, red and yellow. I focused on showing the ingredients of the pizzas so that it was a clean, simple visual that told the story of the pizza flavors.
I later changed the branding to be on a white background for the promotional counter cards, focusing on the textures for our new interior design for the Shakey’s restaurants.

Shakey’s Emojo Characters
I created and illustrated the Emojo’s for Shakey’s. The idea was to create a character out of their famous Mojo Potatoes. They were used for social media, creating gifs for instagram stories and visuals for posts. I also used them on point of sale visuals for particular promotions and email visuals as well.
Shakey’s To-Go Packaging
Celebrating Shakey’s 65th anniversary we updated the Shakey’s to-go packaging. I was inspired by the red and white stripes in their very first uniforms while modernizing the design with typefaces & black bars that overlap the stripes.
Shakey’s Staff Shirts
Celebrating Shakey’s 65th anniversary we decided to update the uniforms with the wall paper I created for the game rooms at the restaurants along with other historic icons from Shakey’s past.
Shakey’s Interior Design
I updated the interior design of Shakey’s Restaurants along with custom artwork and wallpapers. SEE MORE >
