ABOUT THIS PROJECT

StandStrong is an arch support that differs from all the rest, they stick to the bottom of your feet, allowing one to wear them with any shoe! StandStrong came to us at BIG and asked us to brand them and launch their product. I worked with them from the beginning to do the branding for them, work on their product and packaging design, crate their website and direct their photography and videography shoots.

StandStrong Branding

When it came to the branding for StandStrong it was important that we didn’t go too feminine with the colors since we wanted the opportunity to expand the product line for the future. Choosing shade of Pinks and Blues was where we landed with the client to represent stability and nurturing since the product after all is suppose to stabilize ones arches and nurture them back to health in every day wear. Creating a seal that represent the seal of approval from Dr. StandStrong himself assured customers that a podiatrist created this arch and that it was reliable. The logo itself was created to represent the uses of the arches, creating a symmetrical and balanced logo reinforced the purpose of the arch as well.

StandStrong Video

Telling the story of the StandStrong Arches in a visual manner was important to get across so that we could have a video on the website, utilize it for social media and any ad buys or future TV spots the client would want to do to amplify the product. I came up with the concept for the video and directed it working with the model and videographer, in the same day I also directed a photoshoot with our photographer as well.

I created the story of following a model from the beginning of the day to the end, starting with placing the arches on her feet and then walking around in them to show customers that they didn’t fall off and how they looked on the bottom of the foot. Showing the model wearing different shoes was the perfect way to show the versatility of the arches no matter what shoe you wanted to wear. To illustrated that the arches also helped with shinsplints and other activity prone injuries I finished off the video with the model wearing active wear and going for a jog with her dog.

Product & Packaging Design

I worked with the StandStrong team to create the actual arch design. We suggested that the actual arch be a clear silicone so that from the side it wouldn’t be visible in sandals or high heels. The bottom needed a fabric lining so that when a person was wearing it they wouldn’t slip around in their shoes. The pink was decided as the full color since it would be discrete with the blue being the logo and indicator of which side the arch belonged on.

The overall package of what the customer would be receiving was the reusable foil bag, a set of arches, a sponge and a bottle of cleaning solution. The goal was to keep it simple, well branded and usable.

StandStrong Arch Brochure

Because these arches differer from others by sticking on the bottom of the foot instead of the inside of the shoe, the brochure that comes with the arches was an important asset for customers. The design needed to be on brand – fun and playful – while also informing customers on how to use the arches.

StandStrong Digital Assets

I built out the website for StandStrong on Shopify and created assets for the website to try and convey the sassy attitude of our prospective customer. I also created and directed the social media team on the visuals for their instagram account.
